Great posture ! A landing posture I guess.
I like the shadows on itself.

If the bird was landing, was it high ?
I would have liked to see the water or the ground, but I think you didn't really have this choice.

Welcome to BPN. Excellent first pose. Nice bird angle and loved the dangling feet. Good DOF and details.

IMO, the image can go a bit brighter.

Very nice to see you her Rudi...welcome! Great wing position and pose and pops nicely from the BG...like Kaustubh's idea of going a bit brighter.

    Rudi, welcome to BPN!!

Neat first post - very dynamic pose, especially the outstrechted "talons". I'm OK with the exposure as is, but going a bit lighter is certainly an option but will give you a different feel to the light. Personally I would prefer a looser comp.

    Looking forward to more!

    Rudi:

A big welcome to BPN, a great place to learn and grow as a nature photographer.

Dynamic and interesting pose as mentioned. Excellent exposure, DOF. A bit of dappled light with shadow on left upper wing, but not distracting for me.

I agree with Dan about the comp., for me a bit more room above would help. He feels a bit squeezed in the LUC, although the pose helps him fit

    Look forward to more.

    Cheers

Great pose, it seems a to me, but the crop is nice and the wings are in a great position.
