These are two large 6-7 foot male Rat snakes fighting. The monsoon kind of weather with the burnt vegetation brought out some lovely colors in the frame and it was a blessing to get them in contrasting Blue and Yellow coats. The yellow guys won the battle that lasted for an hour and half, I was a great experience as I was able to lie down close to them and shoot. The best moment that made me thank god was after he had chased away the blue guy, the yellow guy made a victory display by lifting its head and tail up together and moved straight towards me, It was “WOW” as I never seen anything like that before. but then poor fellow realized it was me and dashed into an opening in the field. I will post some close-ups too Later. The smaller frame has not got the same impact as a large size.

Very cool and nice composition as well. I like that you have two different colors of the snake - great serendipity there.

Fascinating Kiran, well seen and captured. Very striking the colours, with great behavioural action, nicely framed. Can I ask, do you do anything with the background, ie blur or darken, or both, as I do find the BG tends to throw the subject out very nicely, but always slightly darker compared to the subject, if that makes sense?

    Nice one Kiran.

Thanks Steve Bhai, Yes I have darkened the BG by burning the BG and also have used G blur on the BG. The last two images of mine I have done similar pocessing because the Raw had that effect and enhanced it

    Thanks Again,

    Kiran.

Many thanks Kiran, it's always good to know what work was done with certain images, however I am still impressed with the quality at high ISO's, but certainly the added PS work throughs out the subject very well.

    Thanks again.

Hi Kiran... what an amazing image. Great moment captured with the position of the snakes, and their colors look great against that background.
