Default Cattle Egret , bold rather than -

    subtle.
St. Augustine Alligator Farm during civil twilight.

As the title states I wanted to create a visually bold image.
To do so used my flash to light the underside of the Cattle Egret.

I wanted the bird to really pop, but not look like it was flying through a black hole.
The solution for me was to increase my ISO until I was able to get the sky I wanted with SS aperture combo I wanted.

Exposure looks good. However, shooting angle kills this image for me.

I like the view of the full wingspan, details, and exposure. The angle is rather odd but seems what you were after.

Love the glowing feel to the shot. Wish the right eye shows more.

James, like Troy, I also like the glowing feel. If mine, I'd have rotated CCW and cropped to give more room to the bird to fly into.
