There was quite a bit of mating or attempted mating this day at Nickerson beach a few weeks ago. The action is starting to heat up. These 2 didn't actually mate this time......but I liked the BG and pose. Not my favorite form of crop.....but you know how much I love empty space.
ISO 640 at f8 and 1/3200 sec with the Canon 1D Mark lll and the Sigma 300-800mm lens at 687mm. Cropped from Horizontal to almost FF vert. Tripod mounted.

This is a beautiful mating shot, Roman. Perfect exposure on the whites, great soft light, excellent clarity, great vertical framing, ideal head angles....terrific!

Killer poses with this pre-copulatory stand. And killer processing. Love the blacks. I'd trade some of the bottom for a bit more on the top.

Roman, incredible shot. terrific timing, exposure and angle. Since you like open space so much, I'd suggest cropping a tad from below If mine, I'd extend the canvas a bit at top :-)
