Hi There

Summer season is here at the HCT and that means the Valley of the Eagles display is back on the schedule. As I have mentioned in a couple of my previous posts the new seating for this display makes for some great photo opportunities.

This is a shot of Bald Eagle "Danebury" flying back from his release point of some 2 miles away. Its great for people this side of "The Pond" to see such a majestic bird in flight.

You sure do get nice banking images with the new seating. Amazing that the bird is coming from 2 miles away.......do they all travel so far? There's nothing better than a Bald Eagle in flight to get the heart pumping......and keep the trigger finger busy. Well done.

Its only the Bald Eagles that fly in from so far away, so that you can see them way in the distance and then they return home when the falconers walk out into the meadow. They have some music playing from the "Dances with Wolves" Soundtrack as they are flying towards you, its all pretty stirring stuff, and depending on the wind direction they will fly over your head and bank round to land.
