Wonderful image, Ignacio. The bird's colors really pop against the beige BG - and I like the way the BG complements the beige patch on the wing. If it were mine, I would remove the cereal stem that crosses over the bird's tail. I might also shorten the cereal stem to the right of the bird.

Lovely image Ignacio! Agree with removing the reed crossing the tail. Would also sharpen this resized version a bit as resizing introduces some softness.

    Hi Ignacio,
Love the sharpness of the 800 plus 1.4 - here is a repost with a slightly more sharpening which shows the excellent detail. Also removed the reed and saved as sRGB....

Great species and capture, Ignacio! I don't mind the reed crossing the tail but I do like the repost with the added sharpening etc! Great! TFS!

Always find birds with long tails difficult to compose, you have done well. Very nice clean and smooth BG...Like repost for detail...Nice one

Thanks Ofer for taking the time; I seem to have developed an almost irrational fear of oversharpened images, and tend to err on the opposite side.
Can you tell me how you sharpened the repost? What software do you use?

Hi Ignacio, I selectively sharpened the bird using Photoshop CS5 - Smart Sharpen - Amount 85% radius 0.4 px

    Cheers!

What a beautiful bird and photograph, made even better by Ofer's sharpening. The BG, light, and colors are breathtaking. TFS.
