Been a busy week again, at work. This is an image of the Colima Warber, only found in North America, in the Chisos Mountains of Big Bend National Park, Texas. Tough bird..we only saw 1 and not very well..but it's in the bag now.....
Also found in Mexico but for us serious listers can't really be counted .
Rugged climb of 3-4 hours, blistering heat 90-107F, but priceless when you can see the bird...applied Topaz clean seems to be my favourite lately.... Wish that black dark leaf wasn't there....
You can check out, where we went on our trip at www.bilyreid.com
Paul, it's fantastic that you could actually photograph this warbler. Nice composition and I like the effect here. Agree on the black leaf... I think it can be lightened a bit.
Paul, Sounds like another adventure! I agree w/ you about the leaf I also might evict the light one on the top edge of the frame if it were mine. Did you say blistering??yikes
Congrats on the Colima, Paul. You worked hard for it and amazing that you got a decent photo to boot!
I think the effect worked well, I can see why it's a fav!
Actually, the white leaf at the top-right bothers me more than the black one. It could be argued that the black one adds a little tension to the image, which I like.
