    Great timing, and I love the colours. I like the perch it is taking off from...the other separate flower doesn't add much and could go if you do that type of processing. Fill-flash would have helped with the face, darker blues of the wing, and lower part of the body. Good one!

    Beautiful subject and you certainly captured the decisive movement.
    It looks like the light source was behind your subject (shadows and catchlight).

    In cases like this you have at least three options, not all are practical each time.

    Change your location - not going to work this time.
    Adding light by opening up a bit or IMO the best option (depending on distance) fill flash.
