This image is from Norway. It was a cold January day. I lay on the ice. A little afraid it would crack. But it went well. Image is processed in Lightroom 3 Data: Canon 1D MK III, 500mmL 4.0 IS, ISO200, 1 / 100, F4, 0 Date 23 January 2010

Geir, very cool image. Your risky behavior paid off as the low angle and the glassy smooth water (ice?) really looks great.
Cheers,

This is a beautiful image. I really like the pose & I especially like the water droplets on the bird. I think I would like to see less FG & more BG. WDYT?

Great photo, for me is just perfect...
Absolute stunning image,
Perfect head turn, exposure is right on.
The only thing I might try is to take a bit off the bottom and sort of pano it.
Coming back and looking at it again cause I like it so much, I think it could use a bit of CW rotation.

Ditto what Jim said

Risk - Reward, it really paid off.
Great head angle and the textures of the water are amazing...I would like to see some taken off the bottom.I feel there is a bit too much negative space there.
Beautiful and original. Smooth water looks great, and I love the calm expression in the bird. Agree on just a little CW rotation.
Amazing shot. Very nicely done by laying on the ice. I feel cold just by looking at those eyes. Respect.

I like the tweaks you did compared to the one you posted before, but you still need a bit of CW rotation. Enjoyable image!
An impressive image. Looks much better than the previous time and it doesn't need any rotation IMHO.![]()
