    Default A Neiger Osprey

We spent the morning on Lake Blue Cypress, which Jim Neiger knows like the back of his hand. I've never seen so many Osprey in one place before! The BGs were phenomenal and the birds were quite active. All in all, a great morning of photography!

Doug, great stuff. Love the pose and the BG with the hint of habitat -- makes for a much more interesting flight shot.

    Cheers,
    Greg

Love the light, the topside view and fanned tail. Not sure about the V of the tree and the "infintiy" symbol on top of it.

Well Doug, you have absolutely nailed this. Great head turn, and the detail and sharpness in those wings just fantastic. The Osprey pops so well from the BG too. Well captured.

Very nice shot Doug. Beautiful detail in the wings. Background pops with fresh green. Question: Did you crop the image from full frame? Did you use center sensor for this shot? Thx.

    Absolutely fantastic, Doug!
Banking pose, fanned tail, exposure, head angle, bg, light - everything spot on.
    Fabulous!

Thanks Clemens! This is a crop from full frame; the cropped image is 8.6 megapixels in size. I did use the center AF sensor for this photo, as I do for all of my flight images.

    Doug,
This is such a beautiful bird and background, I'd like more room all around.
Take advantage of that new green cypress tree background.

Killer shot. I'm very much envy that you have a great place like Lake Blue Cypress.
