    Default Crested Serpent Eagle

    Friends,

Is there too much distraction? Should I be pp it? What would the experts do to this image?

    Cheers

Pankaj, for my eye there is distraction in both the foreground and background. Would be relatively easy to clean up the bg, but the large branch in front of the bird would have to stay. There is a strong yellow/red color cast to the image, even considering the time of day - revisiting the original file for color balance would be a good idea. Interesting bird and I hope you can find one in more open surroundings! Keep them coming.

P.S. - please post your technical info when you post an image so we can better understand how the image was made.

This is a tough shooting situation- up and into a "messy" tree. I do like the eye contact and the warm tones but there's not a lot that can be done after the fact to improve the surroundings. The big problem is the large branch that goes right across the front of the bird. The best option is to try again to capture this beautiful bird in a cleaner environment and ideally at eye level. Look forward to seeing more.
