    Clear early A.M., Nikon D3s, Nikkor 200-400mm, TC 1.4, focal length 550mm, f5.6, 1/800, iso 800, matrix, manual, tripod. PS ACR basic, levels, selective USM subject and mild noise reduction bg. The little guy refused to lift his tail. C & C appreciated.

    Hi Gary! Nice job on this Ruddy. I can almost never get them close enough to shore to get a decent image. I think the posterior part of the white on his cheek is a bit hot, but that is a tough one right next to his black head.

    Hello Gary, nice high key look you got on a difficult subject. The whites on the face are not blown, but just getting close to the edge. Nice low angle and position in the frame. Good head angle and eye contact. The duck seems like it could be a little sharper, maybe you could try adding a little sharpness. I like the water droplets, always a plus!

    Don't know if it's just me, but maybe a little oversharpened. Looks noisy in his eye now.
