What a winner indeed. This is a beauty. I like the HA, BG, DOF, and everything else. The birds full display is stunning. The eye is brilliant, detail with the black and white is sweet... I'd be very happy with this keeper.

Outstanding capture Michael! Love the bank and the sharpness. The layered background adds a sense of place.

Perfect pose. Sharpness excellent. You were there but personally it feels a bit cool to me.

I like this one as well! The position of the bird relative to the background is perfect, and that head angle and perfectly detailed whites....I sure can't find any room for improvement here. Excellent.

Superb image Michael. Excellent pose, details, and exposure. Great sense of beach habitat. I like the placement of the bird's head in the blue layer. The light on the bird seems brighter than the light on the BG; did you darken the BG?

Excellent banking capture here Michael, and good job with the overall exposure. Interesting layered BG.

Beautiful pose and great lighting of the bird! I am not too fond of the BG, but that is very personal. Excellent shot!

Michael, great job indeed. Looks like you nailed everything on this one. Was this a vertical capture?
