Very Impressive Jim... Lovely colours, superb background and the moss on the perch is a nice touch. Some might say its a bit tight in the frame but not me...

The green on green looks fantastic. Love the pose and the comp. I'd prefer some more even lighting on the body, and maybe a little darker around the eye. Man, you've really had a succesful trip in CR!!

    Jim
Another winner - great colors, perch, and pose
Tend to agree with Daniel about the lighting. A quick fix would be to use the Burn tool to darken the head area
    Well done

What a lovely image. I like the intense look of the bird and your nice perch.

    Ditto Don:
Lovely colours, superb background and the moss on the perch is a nice touch.
    Ditto Daniel:
I'd prefer some more even lighting on the body, and maybe a little darker around the eye.

I might add that this is a beautiful, interesting subject.
    The diagonal perch is strong.

IMO another pass of USM and a looser crop would make this an even stronger image.

Jim, you have posted a variety of different species lately, all colourful, and here is another cracker. Dan summed it up very well - 'green on green'. Good angled pose, and just love the feather detail.

Another nice one, Jim. You handled the light well here -- love the female of this species!
