Hi Kim- I zipped over to Avian to see this most beautiful of species. You have done it justice- a really beautiful portrait. All the technical aspects of the image look superb. The use of fill-flash is perfect in my opinion.
The famous birder and entertainer Bill Oddie wrote quite a well-known (in birding circles anyway!) caption under an image of this species in his "Little Black Bird Book".
Wow, quite the looker! I like this alot - great perch and BG. I wouldn't mind a bit more room above and right, and lightening the iris a wee bit more would add lots IMO.
