    Finally got one to perch on my setup. (dead log on pole, suet in holes)
    Sony A700, Sigma 70-200 f2.8 @ 200mm, f2.8, 1/500, iso 1000, +0.7ec
    Levels and sharpen, linear burn on chest whites, desaturated som of the reds on the head,
    cloned out a branc in the BG.

    I like the texture of the perch's bark, and great BG too. I'm not super fond of the "knob" behind the tail. Looks like the neck/chest area could be toned down (just feels bright for this species). I like the "Alfalfa" hair-do. A better HA would have been great IMO, and perhaps a bit more room above.

    Daniel hit the important points. I like the soft background, overall balance of tree,bird and BG.

    The neat thing about a setup, you can tweak it!
