Default Late afternoon on the Khwai

Taken late afternoon on the Khwai River flood plain in Botswana. We had another herd behind us as well, got that hemmed in feeling but the enjoyment of watching them on our own was exhilarating and surpassed any concern we may have had.

FF cropped a slice off the top for composition.

    Taken with my old gear a couple of years back. 30D/Sigma 170/500 @ 500mm 1/40@f8 iso200

    C&C most welcome.

    Lovely image Pieter, very restful.

Looks like the 'old gear' was working fine.

Lovely serene image, like the feeling it gives me. Maybe just a slight CCW rotation to level the water...Nice one Pieter

Pieter - well done in that late afternoon light. I agree with Steve and Dumay that there is something very peaceful and serene about this image.

Works very well as a pano. I agree with the rotation suggestion. I like the flow of the image from right to left as you follow the elephants heads and trunks.
