Thanks to all for the taking the time to look at my images and comment and crit. Your advice and help has been invaluable. I have enjoyed looking at your images and learning from all of you over the last year since I became a posting member. I have learnt much and feel my photography has moved forward since joining.

I know in this image the BG is uneven ( bank and water) and hope the separation of the subject from the BG is enough to allow it to stand out. Also would like to have seen more of the far wing (But we cant always get what we want) until next time I suppose..Thoughts as always appreciated.

Dumay, Congrats on your 1000th, and may you go on to post many more. Tack sharp, and you have brought out the whites very well. Love the pointed toes. ( if the weather is kind, will be popping up either sat or sun. )

Congratulations Dumay! I like the sharpness and think the subject seperates from the BG nicely.

Congrats on 1000. and thank you for your active participation here on BPN!

Nice image of this egret. I like the BG colours but I wish the horizon line didn't pass behind the face. I also agree with your far wing assessment. Awesome details on the near wing though.

Keep them coming for another 1000 and more...

    Dumay:

    Congrats on the milestone!

Your self critique is right on. You do have excellent exposure and detail in the near wing.

The far shore line itself isn't so much a problem, as where it cuts the bird (as Daniel mentioned.)

    Looking forward to more!

    Cheers

Dumay, congrats on 1K. You chose a wonderful shot. Loved the angle and the BG.
