    Default Greetings from Japan.

Hello to you all. I'm a total newbie to photography and although I've been logging in here almost daily since registering (months ago now) I've only just bought my first camera! I decided to get a 60D for starters and see how things progress.. I realise it's not the ideal body for bird/wildlife photography, but should be good to learn the basics on. I've been shooting in manual mode with some quite pleasing results so far! Saving for a telephoto lens now so I can capture some of the wonderful birdlife we have here.

I'd just like to say that some of the images posted on BPN are absolutely magical to a bird lover like myself and truly inspirational. It seems a very friendly place to learn and exchange ideas and I'm so pleased I found this site. So I'd like to say a big 'thank you' to you all and safe and happy shooting for the future.

    Regards,

    Dave J.

Hi Dave, welcome to BPN!! Looking forward to your images. You can always start out in "Eager to Learn" if you are feeling too shy to post in "Avian" right away.

P.S. The 60D should be just fine....
