This image is a large crop for me and the only reason I posted it was to get feed back on the pose of the male Tern my concern is for the lack of eye contact. Do you still feel a connection to the image with out it.
Thanks for replying.

Don:
The interaction is the important thing here, and the female looking up and the male looking down works. I think the bigger issue is the horizon line. If possible to get lower to throw them both against the blue background, would be stronger.
Nice wing spread on male.

Very nice Don, when does the season usually begin? Now? Until July?
Well captured. Too bad I missed these guys a month ago. I'm personally not a big fan of the square display here and would loose some of the bottom (and top), if this would be mine.

Don, I feel the actual moment and wingspread makes this, and as Randy mentions, the female turning around adds more to this as well. I would also try and get away from the squarish crop, but overall well timed and captured.
Very nice image! Agree with the comments regarding the horizon line and crop. Here is a horizontal presentation.
Cheers,

Well timed image Don! I like eye contact the birds have with each other. Ofers repost is an improvement.
Although eye contact is ideal, the bird to bird interaction makes up for it to me. Looks like they had eye to eye contact.
