    Completing the camouflage series, here's an American Bittern from my local marsh two weeks ago, again showing how the bird's plumage matches his surroundings. Might have wished for his legs to show.

    Not easy to even find these guys when they are in the weeds let alone get an image. I think you could use a bit more contrast and go a bit brighter on the mid tones

    Very cool!
    Agree on a bit more contrast and maybe a bit warmer also.

    Here's a repost with several quick fixes on the web jpeg file: boosted contrast and warmed up a bit. Both good suggestions. (I may have overdone them slightly.) I'll go back and enhance the master file. Thanks for the comments. Now if I could just clear out the phrag to show the legs.....

    These guys are tough! I am still looking for my "clean" shot myself. Nice job following advice above.
