CAN ANYONE HELP?

I am new to BPN and seem to have lost any techno-savvy I ever had.

Can somebody guide me through the steps of posting a photo, not only here in this forum, but also on my profile page? I see no place to upload images, and if I drag and drop to this text space, all I get is something that looks like this: /Users/donalhill/Desktop/Acorn Woodpecker-0195.jpg.

Furthermore, the "remember me" check boxes do not work for me. Thus, I must sign in each time I come to the BPN site.

As an aside, I find the "help" link to be completely unhelpful.

Hi Don. Firstly, a big welcome to BPN! There is a lot to learn and enjoy here both by posting and by critiquing the work of others.

I'm no expert at this, but I believe, unless you are a paid member, you can only post images by linking to a hosting site such as smugmug, photobucket, flickr, etc. (i.e. you can not actually host your images here)

http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...orum-Tutorials . You are in the category "Forum Participant" . I don't think you can put a pic on your profile page unless you are a member.

Note that this doesn't mean that you need to be a member to post (although we obviously encourage that if you like it here). We look forward to seeing your work!
