This is my first post to this forum. I really like the detailed comments about the images. I usrd "lighting effect" in PS3 to highlight the bird. Is this acceptable in this forum?

    Welcome, Bryan
The PS3 "lighting effect" is acceptable here.....always a good idea to mention it so the viewers know to help with comments. It would also be helpful to mention the techs to the image such as camera, lens, settings, and anything else that would again help with the image.
You're off to a nice start with this one. I like compostion the pose of the bird. I like a dark BG but I'm not sure that I like the lighting that has extended to behind the bird....it seems to distract from the bird. You might want to go another round of USM on the bird.....he looks a tad soft.

Agree with Lana's comments Could also add that I like the careful framing moving the bird to the right and the pose The feet look very good

The biggest thing I would change is the lighting behind the head as Lana mentioned Very moody and beautiful Big Welcome and looking forward to many more !!!
