    I was shooting the Screech Owl and this little guy came up and posed for just a split second. They are so quick. They will be nesting close by, will monitor and get more shots of these guys soon.

    nice captured Lim.. Nice color and details with Good BG..The light is little bit more due to flash on.. I think so.. what other have to say.. Let see..

    Great details on the bird, and beautiful BG!

    It does look a bit overflashed, you could try darkening the trunk in post, I find it competes for attention with the bird. You also know that it'd have been even better if he had looked up! Well considering the circumstances, a great capture and looking forward to better from you!

    Excellent shot Troy! Bird doesn't look overflashed to me and the trunk can easily be toned down. Here is a quick repost.

    No linear burn - simply selectively brightened the bird and BG and toned down the trunk. Also selectively brightened the eye. I am sure you can get much more from the RAW file.

    Ofer's repost solves much of the problem with this image... update the master RAW and you have a great keeper!

    You are lucky to have them nesting close...
