    Oh yea! Nice one. I like the black and white image and then the dash of color that is the fish. Really draws the eye right into that beak. Looks nice and sharp too. Maybe a touch lighter...? hard though with this contrast and seems like you maintained detail in both shadows and highlights, so maybe not lighter...Yea I like this one.
    Lots of kingfishers posted in the last hour! Funny, I just posted one too.

    Hi Stephen, you have really pushed the limits here, and it seems you have succeeded nicely. Good hovering posture, and his catch a bonus.

    Thanks everyone for commenting. Stu, this was actually an incoming and not a hovering shot. I was quite impressed that the MKIV handled it.

    Anyway here is a brighter version. Better?

    Great image Stephen! I like the sharpness, prey and angle. The repost looks better to me.
