    Pied Kingfisher. I was hoping to visit my favourite birding spot in the Pilanesberg Nature reserve this weekend, but we are having continuous rains, so I wont be going anywhere. To make myself feel better, I dug up an old image from the same location to share with you. Look what Im missing out on

    Hi Stuart , nice curved wing spread and dorsal view shows the mottled feather pattern very well. Still to get a shot of a PK, looks like that is the spot.

    Thanks Doug and Pieter. Doug, there was already some form of a glint, so I did some eye doctor to enhance it.

    Hi Stu, this is yet another simple and powerful image. Something tells me that you could lighten up the area around the eye. Hope those rains end soon.
