Wonderful image Raul! Beautiful soft light and wonderful perch. The pose is perfect and the bg is complimentary. Beautiful capture!

Nice clean capture, Raul. I think a bit more contrast in the bird, especially the blacks, would really give this image more punch.

Agree with all above. The blacks need to be blacker and the face needs to be selectively sharpened. Overall very nice.

What a difference just a little sat & sharpening can make. The repost pic is outstanding.

Repost is outstanding. I really like what the facial sharpening has done.

Hi Raul, The re-post is a big improvement. I would, however, like to see the greyer feathers a bit darker. Try adding 2-4 points of black first to the neutrals and then to the blacks and see how it looks. Later and love, artie

This is a little embarrassing but I am not sure how the adjustment mentioned above by Artie is done... maybe this adj can only be performed in photoshop? I am still an elements user.

I used a level layer to perform the adj in this rendition... move the slider to 2 on blacks and .85 on mid-tones selecting the bird only.

I also stumble on by colors adjustment on the levels layer and decreased by 2 the blacks on the blue channel.

I may have gone too far?
    Thanks for comments

Looks better still. Sorry I did not realize that you did not have Photoshop.

    Excellent capture.

Each image I viewed as I scrolled down was an improvement on the original. Way to go !
