Steve, the next reflections theme is in June, but you don't have to post theme images - it's purely optional! I really like the upside-down reflection and the nice colors. There are a couple of things that I think would make this one stronger. I don't think you need as much room at the top and cropping some from there would also evict the two leaves (I think) at the top of the image. I would also evict the third leaf that is in the sky a little below and right of center. It would have been nice if you could have gone a little to your right to get the shoreline parallel to your camera, but I know that's not always possible. Very nice image, I like it!

Steve, Kerry is right you don't have to follow the themes to post. Nice reflection, how did you process this? I agree w/ Kerry's comp. suggestions. I might try to level the shoreline if it were mine just so the image appears straight even if it was shot straight. Seems a little contrasty to me. Nice work.![]()
Nice composition, Steve. The reflection looks good. Good suggestions above.
This is pretty much SOOC, only light processing in LR. (I did use a CPL)
I do have other versions with the top cropped off and/or the leaves removed. I left them in this version as I thought it helps to "emphasize" that it is a reflection in the water you are looking at (I wish they had ripples around them). Perhaps removing some from the center of the sky would help.
I chose to make the top of the tree's reflection the horizon line for "level"...if I could have found a position which allowed both the treeline and shoreline to be parallel it might have helped a little, but this was the best I could do.
here is a version not inverted and cropped differently (leaves removed)

and here is a version that is only about the reflection of the trees

Of them, I think I prefer the non inverted as the most "natural" and the originally posted image as the most "artistic interpretation".
