    Default Humber Bay Fractalius Blur

I went down to Humber Bay on Lake Ontario in Toronto today mostly to see what waterfowl was hanging around. Not much action, I think they are all sitting on eggs as I saw a few swans and geese on nests already. Weather turned kinda crappy - cool, cloudy and windy, but perfect for blurs. Could not decided if I liked this blur or not so I ran it through Fractalius.

    Look forward to comments.

Like the simplicity, and clean graphic look to this, Andrew. Like how the frac texture of the trees & FG contrast with the solid blue & white of the water & sky. Nicely balanced compositiion. Well done!

Andrew, this is a really nice one. I love the simple yet elegant fract work you did here and the contrasting softness of the blur really makes it special. One thing that I notice is the difference in the hue of the blue sky and the water. If it were mine I might try to match them, probably by adding a little green to the sky so it matches the water. I think going the other way would make the water too bright. Nice job!

I really like this image, too, Andrew. some of the lines in the branches look too harsh to me, and would see how they would look a bit softer or lower opacity on the filter. really really like the ground/grass. Might soften the line between water and clouds too.

I never would have thought about the difference in the sky and water if Kerry hadn't mentioned it. thanks, Kerry. Is that something that usually holds true, that sky and water have the same hue??

Andrew, Nice work with the filter. I like the lines that Fract added to the image-it creates some interest.

Andrew, I like this a lot - it is elegant in it's simplicity and I love the composition. I agree with Cheryl on wishing the line between the sea and sky were softer. I especially like the fract effect on the grasses

Thanks folks for the kind words. I appreciate them very much. Kerry, thanks for pointing out the sky and water hue variance. I'll fix that up.
