    Default White Rose

Sticking with the white theme (see Spider Mum). Same set-up.

Very nice light and good looking white/warm tones.

I would crop out the black corners, otherwise I like it.

Thanks Robert. I tried that crop and didn't like it as much. I think I may have deleted it but if not I will post it tomorrow. Heck, if I did delete, I'll redo it!

I was trying to pay special attention to any halos and backed off the sharpening a bit.

I noticed, looks good and much better than the oversharpened one.

    Good work.

    Thanks for posting.

Lovely rosette pattern here Ed showing excellent detail. Althought the black triangles in the corner are only small I can see how they would ruin your composition with a crop. Clonning maybe an alternative.

Hi Ed - Very nice shot but my eyes are drawn to the dark areas at the top left and bottom right corners. John's cloning suggestion should do the trick

    Hi Ed,
Nicely done! My vote is to clone as for my tastes the crop is right on,

I know the consensus is to clone but as I said to Robert, I had the crop version laying around. So here it is and I wonder what you all think of this version compared to the original.

I like this one........even though you lose some of the curve on right side.............left side is strengthened........but if you want to keep a more 2 to 3 ratio........clone,

    Thanks Roman.

I had this crop already on my computer and I am not the greatest at cloning so I figured I would go this route first. :o I do plan on trying the cloning alternative as well.
