Default Colorado River Near Moab, UT

Last October my wife and I were out west and spent quite a bit of time in and around Moab, UT. This image was made near Fisher Towers late one afternoon. I like the curve of the river and the clouds.

    1DMK2 with 24-105 @ 85. Evaluative metering at ISO 100 at EV -1/3 with f 18 and 1/15 with polarizer.

Image is full frame horizontally cropped to pano to eliminate unnecessary FG and emphasize the river valley curve.

Thanks for looking. Comments most welcome.

Very dramatic looking clouds. The river valley makes a nice curve into the scene and it is easy to see how it carved its path in the rocks. I might suggest shadow/highlight adjustment to bring up the deep shadows a bit.

    Ed,
Robert is on to something re: a lifting of the dark tones. I do wonder if you cropped a little too tightly from the top--I feel that a touch more sky might help. Also, you might restore a small amount of the foreground to complete the diagonal line that begins near bottom right-hand corner.

I like the image and the comments already posted would make it better.
