    Default Touch down

    Touch down with take brakes!

D3S 700mm f/8 1/4000sec ISO 1000 (note the very fast shutter speed to freeze the water trail) Hope you like it.

Fantastic shot, Arash. The clarity and details are exceptional.
Are you overall preferring this camera over the 5dII and the MkIV? I'm curious.

Beautiful image Arash - looks like you nailed the perfect combination of aperture and shutter speed to produce a very sharp overall image. Well done.

Arash, for some reason the forum software does not generate a thumbnail for linked images. If you upload to the BPN server (as a member) then you'll have one.

Awesome image, great light, and the best part for me is the tail brushing the water. I wouldn't mind seeing a version with less reflection (about half), but that is quite subjective of course...

    Very cool!
I almost think it would have been better a split second later with more water splash, but maybe not.
Certainly nothing to complain about here and I would be very happy to have taken this pic.
I agree with the comment of cropping off the reflection where it falls apart....it doesn't "hurt" it being there, but doesn't really help either.

Steve, the whole point of this image and what makes it a bit different is the sharp water trail that has not yet turned into a splash yet...I have the splash too but I def go for this one over that, in fact I binned the one with splash...too cliche :)

cropping off the bottom will ruin the 3 : 2 AR, I always stick to 3 : 2 hence the crop.

Thanks Melissa, def prefer D3S over those (and any other digital camera I have used).
