    A big welcome to the Avian forum on BPN, and congrats on your first post here.

    Good timing here, like the tree top, but also that it is separated from bird, no overlap. It gives good balance to the image.

    Sharp and well exposed. Nesting material a plus.

    Generally a full up or full down wing position displays the wings better. Did you have other frames in the series? It is of course a trade off, with a lot of good things in this image, that you might lose trying to select a better wing position. Always the case, I am afraid.

    Please be sure to include all your camera/lens data, and any pertinent processing info, it really helps us critique the image.

    thanks Randy, yea I have a bunch of shots from that day and from that bird.....I'll see if I have some better wings

    is there any way to edit a post after it has been posted (so I can add the exif info) ?
