    Default Pied Kingfisher Blur

Image captured in the Okavango Delta back in November 2010. A shutterspeed of 1/30sec was used to create the effect. I shot many frames, and managed this incredibly still head position of the bird.

Wow. That is spectacular - extraordinary still head position. I am blown away

I am curious about the colours though - this guy seems a bit yellow/brown and balck rather than white and black?

Also what equipment were you using? And is this a full-frame?

    Thanks for sharing

Thanks alot for the comment! This image was captured very early morning, hence the slight orange/warm glow on the bird. Was captured using a Nikon D3s and 600 f4, about 80% of full frame.

Wonderful capture. love the high key effect and the blurr. The still head makes it work.

Hey bud...I really like the idea...Head is pin and the wing blur looks good.

Beautiful image, Mark. Love the slightly open bill. Excellent capture with wings blurred, head sharp!
