Having fun photographing these herons working on their nests. Captured in Colorado. Thanks for looking.

Hi Dan, very similar to our grey herons here in SA. Good landing pose, good detail, and the piece of nesting material a bonus. The hint of cloud really adds too.

Excellent techs and pose. Love the deep blue sky with wispy clouds and the curve of the branch in the bird's bill. You might try to brighten the left underwing.

Thanks for the comments. I did brighten the underwing, but after looking again, it could go a little brighter.

Absolutely love this, such a beautiful, almost balletic pose. Great light and detail. Splendid shot--I would be overjoyed if I had taken it!

Fantastic pose and excellent detail! Nesting material is a nice bonus.
    Very nicely done!

Might consider moving bird a tad more to the right in the frame.

Class image , Dan . The wing pose , nesting material in the beak , the crest , the BG ...all perfect . Like the underwing as is . More brighter might make it look unnatural .

Fantastic flight pose Dan and great exposure. Love the streaming feathers adding to the sense of motion. Well captured.
