    Canon EOS 450D, Sigma 50-500 f/4-6.3 @ 500 mm,
    f/8.0, 1/250, ISO 400, -0.33 EV, AV, fill flash @ -3.0 EV
    DPP, CS3, NoiseNinja, slight crop for comp

    Overall, very nice pic.

    Nicely exposed, and I like the curved perch. I agree with Steven about the sharpening; I would add that the breast feathers appear to be in the best focus, with focus falling off slightly on the head. I would ease up on overall sharpening and selectively sharpen the head. I'm not crazy about the light vertical band on the right of the frame.

    After your comments I've changed the image (so on the top this is not the original file)!
    Less overall sharpening and selectively sharpened the head, as you suggested it.
    Agree with the grey band problem :(

    Looks better, but in the future try to leave the original image post untouched. Reposts should be submitted as replies to the thread. That way people can see what we were commenting on originally and what has changed. Thanks!
