    Steve.

This is a beautiful bird, well captured and sharp. The background and pose are both excellent.

It seems to me, however, that the image may be a bit over sharpened, and I would back off a bit on the sharpening. I also think the image might be improved by reducing the brightness of the reed on which the bird is perched, and the adjacent bent down reed.
    But overall, well done.

Gorgeous bird and image. The yellow patches really pop in the blacks, whites and greys of the bird's body. Good point by Norm regarding reducing the brightness of the perch. Also, I think the BG can use some NR. Not sure if the bird is oversharpened or not - may just be perceived to be oversharpened due to the bird's very contrasty plumage.

Lovely composition, pose and setting Steve.

Good for you to get it.

I really like how the bird is nicely separated from any distracting branches or leaves.

    Well done.

    Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your comments. I kind of thought that the reeds were a bit bright but that is how it looks. They get weather beaten over the winter and get that bleached out look. I will try to isolate them and turn down the brightness or burn them so they are'nt so overwealming.

    Steve
