This image is a prequel to the one I just posted with the amber sky. This one is greatly enhanced color wise but the hint of amber was starting to show in the original capture. Just a few minutes later the clouds turned amber. I used Nik and Topaz Adjust, Simplify and Clean on it.

Judy, this is breathtaking! Of course the colors are off the scale of wonderful, but those clouds overhead give this image an incredible sense of depth and distance as well as tension. Nice painterly look and dynamic range!

Hi Judy, those clouds are so amazing! Love it! I wonder what this might look like if you masked back in the original water and left everything else as is, might make an interesting alternate version. Nicely done!

Thanks Kerry! I fiddled with it and backtracked a few times but was happy when I finally came up with this version!

Thanks Andrew. The original water was extremely choppy and I smudge painted it to smooth it out. Also I didn't save the psd, my bad!

Awesome composition, Judy. The clouds are indeed breathtaking. It provides so much depth to the image. Great color saturation.

Judy, I find this, and your previous one phenomenal. The only thing I would suggest is cropping from the top, the clouds are incredible, but a bit overwhelming to the rest of the image.

Thanks Bill! I tried cropping some off the top but I preferred leaving them all in.

Another awesome sky from you Judy! Beautiful filtering work on the colors and clouds, you really brought out the drama in this one. I was wondering about cropping the clouds a bit too, but no matter how I tried it, it took away from the sense of depth.

Thanks Brendan! That was what I thought when I experimented with cropping the clouds.
