    You caught a nice pose with open bill and pano crop works well.
    Light looks a bit harsh and wish head was turned a bit to more evenly light up the face.

    Good comments from Mike. The lack of lighting on the head is the major concern for me. If you had the chance,sometimes making a small noise will get the head to turn towards you a bit.

    Is that his tongue or a food item?

    Thank you Mike for your comments. You are right about the light.

    Randy - thank you also. Will remember your tip to get the head turned. The item in its mouth was something the bird had just scooped from the water but am not certain what it was.
