    Default Blue Goose

Another Bosque image from this season. No shadow on the face this time! I like the complete shadow of the bird's head on the far wing. BG is distant mountains.

    Doug:

Excellent separation from background, pose, sharpness, yes to nice shadow, as they usually get clipped. Angle was just right.

I might try a version with the bird slightly higher in the frame, just how it struck me.

    Cheers

Nice blurred background, sharp as a tack.

Boy I wish I could HH a 600mm with a 1.4xt and get a shot as good as this!!

Lovely pose with nice outstretched wings and distinct shadow.

Nice job on the exposure on what must have been fairly strong light.

I like Randy's suggestion of a bit higher in frame.

    Very nice complimentary bg.

    Lovely photo.

Back ground colors perfectly compliment the goose. I like the shadow as well as the determined look on his face. Agree about moving him up in the frame a tad.

Great IQ Doug, and I like the flying posture with the forward wings. Tack sharp with good detail throughout, and I do like that BG. Well captured.

A beautiful flight shot. Great wing position, detail, flight angle and BG. Personally I like the comp just as presented.

Many thanks for the comments and suggestions. I'll try a recrop with the bird placed slightly higher in the frame.
