I was taking shots of three males and the female came into view. It was a little tricky trying to get her in isolation because the males found her so attractive.

    Jon:

She does look quite perky, sharp, well exposed.

I might try toning down the brightest water reflections behind her, as they do tend to pull the eye a bit.

Looks like there may be some subtle sharpening or edge artifacts along the front of her neck, where it meets the water.

Hope to see more of this cutey.

    Cheers

    Great shot.

Sharp, good exposure agree the highlights need to be toned down a tad behind her.

    A lovely bird.

Well done on the exposure and nice display of colours.

I wondered about a bit more room in front of bird.

    Very well done.

    Hi Jon,
Lovely shot. I can't get over the striking resemblence to the female Wood Duck of North America.

Jonathan, I like the proud pose, and I can see why the males were attracted to her. I also like the hint of colours on her wings.
