One of the most spectacular sunsets I've ever seen! The amber colored clouds were amazing. To enhance the photo I used Topaz Clean Clouds setting slightly modified and then I used Nik Color Efex cross processing to alter the colors a little. I then used Pixel Bender on a duped layer, ran Topaz Adjust color boost to intensify the colors, changed the blend mode to soft light at 40%.

    Judy,

Wow, it looks apocalyptic though I can't take my eyes off of it. Fantastic use of effects. Love the simplified look to the clouds. Well done.

Thanks Richard! You should have been there on the pier out in the lake, I thought I was in the twilight zone! The actual color was golden yellow ochre. It changed more than anyone would dream was possible from start to finish with totally different clouds and colors.

Judy, I am loving the effect also-it looks like smoke formations in the sky-Lovely!

What a sky! The crop works very well to showcase it.
I would love to see a "before" of the sky.

Awesome sunset, Judy! I'll bet it looked even better in person. Love the colors and the smooth, rather abstract look of the image.

Thanks James! Here is the before with standard Raw conversion; a little vibrance, clarity, contrast and sharpening.

Amzazing looking, Judy! Very dramatic firey sky. Love the detail in the clouds and nice use of Topaz and Nik
