    Lovely photo Mike.

    Great pose, colours and detail.

I also like the brown oof band at bottom. It feels right for space and virtual feet and combined with grey band at top frames the Curlew nicely.

    Mike:
Excellent low shooting angle, like the fluffed up feathers, exposure, sharpness, simple BG.

    Nice display of that bill!

I might try to bring up the catchlight a bit.

    Cheers

Can't beat an angle as low as this. Super pose and exposure. The clean BG sets it off. Love when they "fluff up" like this.

Very nice low angle, and I like the beautiful details on the ruffled feathers. I agree with Randy about enhancing the catchlight as I was going to suggest that even before reading his comment.

Love the low angle and the OOF foreground realy shows that you are shooting low.

Details on ruffled feathers very nice. TFS
