    Default Sun Setting on Manhattan

Taken from one of my favorite places, this is the Manhattan skyline a few minutes before sunset. A series of curves were used to improve contrast between the river, buildings and the sky/clouds. A Glowing Edge filter was then applied, saturation enhanced and slightly cropped on top and a bit more on the bottom to proportion.

    First image post to BPN!!

Excellent first post, Scott. Love the creativity... it resembles a wire-frame model of the city. Great perspective. Looking forward to seeing more of your images.

    Scott,

Wow, this is amazing. Looks like something you'd see printed on metal. Very creative... if I lived and worked in New York I'd want that on my office wall. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Hi Scott, and welcome to OOTB! I'm lovin' that glowing edges look. In fact, that's just how the city looked the last time I was there. Nice to see you here, looking forward to more!

Great looking city skyline composition, Scott. Like what you did with the glowing edge filter, it almost has the look of a fine scratch art work.

Thanks Brendan, I agree, the filter worked well on this one.
