I far prefer the first image, as the sense of environment is much stronger.
I might consider a small crop from the right to move them a bit more off center.

I could see a very subtle lightening of the birds, or trying a version with a bit more exposure overall. Not enough to change the mood, just brighten things slightly.

Please just post one unique image per thread. If you do a repost of the same image, with some adjustments, that is fine.

If mine I would crop some from right and the top as well. I also think I would lighten the image some and a bit of contrast.

I really like the idea of the photo and bg.
