    Nikon D700, 300mm f2.8, 1.4tc, 1/320 ss, f6.3, iso 800

    Cropped, white balance adjustment, exposure adjustment, clarity, vibrance in acr

    Cloned away trash on upper beak, sharpened in cs3

    10;30 am, early march

    Hi Jack. Beautiful sharp bird and very nice BG. I like the old log perch, but the vine under the bird's tail is drawing my eye. The lighting is very good.

    Jack, I really like this one! Nice sharpness, head angle, and exposure. The background is excellent and your pp works really well. Lots to like here, and the vine doesn't bother me that much although I think it would balance the scene better if it were on the left side. Not that you could have just reached out and moved it... Nice one, looking forward to more.

    Jack- Now that's a beautiful portrait! The light is great and the reds are perfect (they seem so easy to clip in this species). I think the flat light helped a lot here. Sharpness is excellent overall but the eye and bill look like they could use a little more.

    Nice image. Great pose and good post processing.

    The vine doesn't bother me but I might experiment in CS to move/remove it.
