    A rare visitor to the Long Island Sound....I got to enjoy some close passes last week. Light was dull but really quite complimentary for these beautiful divers.

    Awesome capture Grace, Nice details and I like the head turned slightly. Maybe a little tight on the bottom.

    Well done high key capture.. Must have been fun seeing such a bird so far from it's normal range. Good detail below not sure on top?

    Thanks, Denise and Dale. I could add to the bottom, no extra there in original capture. You are right on, Dale. There is very little detail on top of the head and front edge of the wings, I'm really not sure what I could have done about that. There was very little light and what there was was filtered and coming from well to the left of my left shoulder which I believe caused this. Ideas? (Wading into the sound that day was NOT an option)
