    Second photo I took on the Cape May, NJ to Lewes, MD ferry, not many birds on water but at least 500 Gannets were following boat...didn't have my big lens so this image is cropped at least 40 percent, and sharpened 35 percent...
    D300 Sigma 70-200 2.8 @200mm F/10 1/400 +0.67 ISO 500

    Exposure and head angle look good. At what time did you make this image? I'm wondering because of the BG colors.

    Would have been between 4:30 and 5:30 pm, slightly overcast sky behind, sun from left...saturation +2 on camera may account for colors, also all my photos taken in jpeg...haven't found a plug-in for raw for D300 when using Photoshop CS.
