    One of my first images with the trusted Nikon D 70 . Shot this at Hebbal Lake in Bangalore .
    Lens : 300mm f4
    Aperture : f8
    Shutters : 1/320
    ISO : 200

    Beautiful bird, and it looks like the D70 is delivering for you! Both the light and head angles could be better though IMO. Would you have been able to move over to your right without spooking the subject or introducing unwanted elements in the frame?

    Rakesh, this is a beautiful image. Daniel brings up a good suggestion with regards to moving to the right. If you couldn't move to the right, I might consider cropping a bit closer from the right and adding a little canvas on the left. Very nice shot.

    Rakesh, this angle certainly shows off the wings and tail nicely, as well as the detail and colours. Pity he didnt turn his head around a tad more.

    Agree with comments above, the the bird better head angle and the light in your back it would be just perfect...

    Nicely exposed and sharp.

    Good suggestions given about shooting angle.

    I would consider adding a bit of canvas on left and removing the bit of oof leaf on bottom of perch.

    Lovely colours in bird.
