Killer pose, feet position, head angle, BKGR, underwing detail, and everything else is amazing. Plus beautiful. Where? And more importantly, how the heck did you do that?

Thank you Artie. Taken near Denver. A couple points I must share, but failed to in the OP. This is a take off shot, I cloned out the perch he just left. On a slow photo day, this bird was hunting near me and hanging around. A mp3 call was used and it landed on a perch close by, cooperating to allow the shot.

Thank you Sid and Dave. I agree Dave, this was a significant crop and here is a repost with NR applied.

Thanks Tom. The more I look at this the more I love it. The way the BKGR colors match the bird is amazing.

Fantastic! Great shot Tom - the original is just excellent, but I think I like the repost even more. The background is perfect - I like how the spots of orange colour compliment the birds plumage - well done.

Thank you all for the kind comments. I didn't expect such a gracious and kind response, so thank you to all who commented.

Arash, thank you for the encouragement to push the ISO. I was trying to do that on the day I shot this. I am still learning and will keep trying.
